Information We Collect

Account information: your name, date of birth, gender, and profile photo, provided when you sign up or sign in (including through third-party sign-in such as Google).

Content you create: messages you send in chats, AI companions you create, "memories" you save, and images or audio you upload or that are generated for you.

Subscription information: your subscription status and tier, and the transaction identifiers returned by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your full payment-card details — payments are handled by the app stores.

Usage and device information: how you interact with the app, basic device and log data, and advertising identifiers when ads are shown.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and personalize your AI companions and conversations, including remembering facts you choose to share so companions feel consistent.

To verify your age and restrict adult (18+) content to users who are 18 or older.

To manage subscriptions, show or remove ads, respond to support requests, keep the service safe, and improve the app.

AI Processing and Third-Party Services

To generate companion replies and images, the text, images, and audio you submit are processed by Google’s Gemini AI service. We use Supabase to host our database, file storage, and authentication, and Google AdMob to display ads on the free tier. Subscription payments are processed by Apple and Google.

These providers process data on our behalf or under their own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies.

Adult Content and Age Verification

MuseAI offers an optional adult (18+) content setting with mature, suggestive content. Access requires a date of birth indicating you are at least 18. MuseAI and its adult features are not intended for, and may not be used by, minors.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual memories at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data.

Your Choices and Rights

You can access and update your profile, manage or delete the memories saved about you, and request that we delete your account and personal data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or delete your information. To exercise these rights, contact us through the in-app Help & Support screen.

You can remove ads by subscribing to a paid tier.

Children's Privacy

MuseAI is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Adult content is strictly limited to users 18 and older. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can remove it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, where data-protection laws may differ. By using MuseAI, you consent to such transfers.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of MuseAI after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
